The opportunity to give young individuals a chance at meaningful employment.
The opportunity to give motivated youth the chance they need.

Start by contacting the YEP Coordinator at the CCA to register your company to participate in this program. Once registered, your company name is added to the database. The process is simple. After a youth is initially screened, their resume is cross-referenced with information provided by the host companies. If there is a match, the work experience can be set up immediately.

The three week work experience is a paid work experience designed to give youth the chance to gain hands on experience to help start their career while it allows employers an opportunity to access the potential of future employees. The employer pays the wage and for the duration of the work experience, Alberta Employment Immigrant and Industry will cover the WCB.

To be eligible to participate employers will need to provide youth with:

A minimum of 30 hours per week and a maximum of 40 hours per week.
Meaningful tasks that assist the youth in building a career in construction.
