Updated - Women In Construction Logo

The Women in Construction committee was formed in 2012 by a group of female industry leaders with the goal to raise awareness of and promote women working in construction. The committee works to offer support to women currently employed in the construction industry and to those exploring construction as a career opportunity, by offering mentorship and networking events.

Influencing Change, Transformation and Positive Disruption with LEAN

WIC Luncheon Feb 1 2017

Date and Time:
Wednesday, February 1st, 2017
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Location:
Coast Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre
Summary:
It has been said that the construction industry is ‘broken’; statistics have recited that productivity has decreased and projects are chronically over budget and delivered late.  This industry has its own unique complexities and challenges; in a mixture of people, process and technology.  To move forward, different behaviors, influence and diversity is needed from all roles andlevels inside our organizations.  We must stimulate a healthy disruption to the status quo and create positive change!  Lean is a principled and people-centric approach to maximizing customer value while minimizing waste or resources.  This philosophy can give each of us an approach to surface the ‘real issues’, innovative changes and help unify our organizations.
Speaker: Carla Ciepliski
