Steacy Easton Memorial Cancer Classic Golf Tournament

The 22nd annual Steacy Easton Memorial Classic golf tournament took place on Wednesday June 10th. It was a beautiful day and everyone came dressed up in their black & white attire to represent the fight against lung cancer and melanoma!

Congratulations to team 10A (Dwayne Wallace, Brent White, Tak Kyle and Rick Henderson) for winning best dressed team!

Guests took photos of themselves on the course with their teammates and posted them to Instagram with the hashtag #BandWgolf, which were displayed on a slideshow during lunch. There were lots of funny and creative pictures posted and in the end team 17B (Chris Vaillant, Ravi Abraham, Joel Souchotte and Scott Gibson) won for the best photo!

The putting challenge this year was a tricky downhill shot that tested even the most adept putters. With three shots per player, only about 1/4 of contestants were able to make the shot, and those successful were entered into a draw to win a backyard ring toss game. Congratulations to winner Don Goodfellow (The Law Firm of W.Donald Goodfellow) for his exceptional putting.

The CCA also sold 60/40 raffle tickets. Bob Robinson (Westcor Construction Ltd.) was the winner and received $800. The CCA would like to thank Bob Robinson for donating the amount back to the Canadian Cancer Society!

The CCA would like to thank the hole sponsors and everyone who came out to the tournament. Together $9,200 was raised for the Canadian Cancer Society.
