CCA 6th Annual Stampede BBQ

The Calgary Construction Association hosted its 6th Annual Stampede BBQ on Tuesday, July 7. The weather cooperated, and the sun came out to welcome more than 450 attendees who all came in their best Stampede attire.
As people enjoyed their burgers and drinks, they were entertained by the band Easy Street who played a set list of classic country tunes, perfect for the Stampede setting.
Thank you to all who came out and shared their Stampede spirit, and a special thank you to all of the volunteers who helped run the event.

Being Highly Effective with Everyday Construction Disputes - Tuesday, September 22

Practical Training Based on Everyday Construction Situations
The cost of the everyday disputes that arise on and off the jobsite is staggering both financially and emotionally. These disputes rob people and companies of time and money and in many cases entangle many into a legal nightmare where everyone loses. We have a system that is built for “arguing” issues, usually legally, and weak on “preventing” issues. And, these everyday disputes will crop up day after day around conformance and defects, deviations from plans and specifications, extra and out of scope work, delays, RFP’s and Requests For Information, or just plain old personality clashes.
