Being a "Super" Superintendent is Critical to a Project's Success
January 12, 2016 the Calgary Construction Association launched the inaugural training for the Superintendent Series. The superintendent is considered one of the most important people, if not the most important, working as a team with the Project Manager to ensure a project’s success. They are the boots on the ground to make sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

During this course, four superintendents with a combined 90 years of experience spent the day sharing their knowledge with the class. Careful planning, teamwork, positive work culture, and mentorship were all topics featured by these professionals.

At the end of the day, attendees were able to break out into groups and discussed case studies while collaboratively exploring solutions.

"I walked in not knowing what to expect," says Nathan Wetherell of Westcor Construction Ltd. "I walked out with more information and a better understanding of what is needed from myself to better my workplace and crews."

Keep an eye out for the full story in the spring issue of the Alberta Construction Magazine.
