Have You Visited the New 2016 Trade Definitions Website?

The ACA and its partners are pleased to announce the launch of a new Trade Definitions website to manage all your Trade Definitions needs and questions!

The new Trade Definitions website allows for online viewing, and the ability to search by keyword on any device. This allows you to find your scope sooner. You can also download the PDF of the Definitions or order hard copies of the Trade Definitions booklet. Finally, you can interact with the Trade Definitions committee and submit any potential revisions or questions. It's all whole new way to Set the Standard!

CLICK HERE to go to the new Trade Definitions website.

What are the Trade Definitions?

The Alberta Construction Trade Definitions are a complete list of inclusions and exclusions pertaining to scopes of work for trades in Alberta. The definitions are used during the tendering process and to help coordinate job site activities. They specify which contractor is responsible for specific areas of work. Tender authorities, design consultants, specification writers, contractors, and suppliers can all cite and utilize the Trade Definitions. By using the definitions, we can minimize RFI's, reduce error, dispute, and litigation, and set a standard for more consistent and compliant bids in Alberta.

To review or download the 2016 Trade Definitions, please CLICK HERE.

Through the hard work of a number of volunteers we have created a best practice guideline.
