 Thank You for Attending CCA's 
7th  Annual Stampede BBQ

 A stomping good time was had by all on  Tuesday, July 12th at CCA's 7th Annual  Stampede BBQ. Over 600 hot off the grill  burgers were consumed, live music by "Easy  Street" was enjoyed and challenging barrel  horse races which were organized by  CCA's Young Construction Leaders group took  place. Thank you to everyone that was able to  attend! YAHOO!!!

Congratulations To CCA's Gold Seal Recipients

Another highlight from CCA's Stampede BBQ, was the recognition of ten Gold Seal Certified recipients who were able to attend the event. Each individual was formally presented with their framed Gold Seal Certificate in front of their peers.

Gold Seal Success Story, Lori Counsell

Congratulations to Lori Counsell who earned her Gold Seal Certification in June 2015 as a Project Manager.
Her newly earned credential is what helped her when applying to, and successfully obtaining, her current job.
Her Gold Seal Certification helped her stand above the fearsome competition!
After earning her Gold Seal certification, Lori experienced the following benefits: recognition for her credentials and abilities, boosted confidence, and even more personal pride in her ongoing accomplishments.

Alberta Job Grant

Apply to the Alberta Job Grant for funding assistance. You must meet or exceed 21 instructional hours to qualify for reimbursement. Training must result in some form of credential or industry-recognized credential; use the Grant to fund the Gold Seal exam/application and the courses (More about Gold Seal). Please ensure you submit your application at least 30 days before training course start date. Only training courses that are approved before they start will be funded by the Grant. (Do NOT send ORIGINAL applications by courier, fax or email; it must be mailed) Applicants will be notified by mail if they qualify for grant funding. Once the signed application has been submitted, the applicant may register and pay for the training. However, CAJG funding is only guaranteed after approval of trainee(s) and training course(s).

This is the final week you can submit your survey for the WCB review. The deadline is Friday July 15, 2016. Previously, we asked our members to take some time to fill out the survey for the WCB Review which can be found here.

Alberta Construction Association has created a guide for members to consider while filling out the survey. It is important to fill out as soon as possible as the first step in the consultation. Please take advantage of your opportunity to speak to the government.
