Special Presentation by LCI-C - "Lean Advancements Are Being Made"

Last day to register!

In this economy, now more than ever, is the need to begin thinking and implementing "Lean" - it can make the difference between profit and loss!

One of the great reasons to use a Lean Coffee is to learn and support each other in Lean endeavors. Mixed groups and company groups meet to get help, test ideas and share progress of adopting a Lean strategy. Lean Coffee is a “free space” for people to get to explore issues and concerns that they otherwise don't get to discuss. This free space gives people a chance to try out behaviors, exercise leadership, get help, give help and grow professionally.

Join us tomorrow,
Friday, December 9th, 2016
7:30 AM - 9:30 AM

Join This Complimentary Session - CoP Hosts " Lean Coffee" AND MORE

To register please call or email Mary at (403) 291-3350, coolnet@cca.cc

Gold Seal Success Story,
Robert Lukacs

On behalf of Calgary Construction Association, congratulations to Robert Lukacs who is this month’s Gold Seal Success Story. Robert is a Construction Manager employed with CANA Construction Ltd. He’s been with his employers for the past two years, and has worked in the Canadian construction industry for a total of eight years.
On October 16th, 2015 Robert earned his Gold Seal Certification as a Project Manager, General Contracting. His interest for the Gold seal originated when he discovered the letters GSC on the end of a co-worker’s business card. “The first superintendent I’ve ever worked with had his Gold Seal Certification. From that point forward I was curious about it and eventually went to get it myself.”
When asked what he would say to others considering earning their Gold Seal Certification, Robert replied: “There is great value in doing it, you’ll join a relatively small number of people who care about their profession and industry. It’s a milestone to building a better future.”
Well done Robert!

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) is continuing its inquiry into the question of injury to the Western Canadian industry and will make an order or a finding by January 4, 2017.

Provisional duties will continue to apply on imports of subject goods from US until the date of the CITT’s order or finding. They were increased from the initial provisional ruling in September.
