In Memory of Timothy “Tim” Walter Engel
1957 - 2017

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Timothy Engel beloved husband of Margaret of Okotoks. He passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the age of 59 years.

Tim owned and operated his own business, Crestview Electric since 1988. Tim was very proud of his Crestview family, was always involved in his community and was known for his generous, honourable and jovial personality.

Tim will be lovingly remembered as a husband, father, grandfather and son who loved his family to the fullest.
He will be sadly missed by the construction community.

A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY Funeral Home, Fish Creek on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.

CCA Member Scholarships Available Now

Each year, the CCA Education Funds supports the distribution of eight $2,000 scholarships per academic year which may be awarded to CCA member employees, part-time employees, or dependents. All applicants must be pursuing advanced education in a business or construction related field to be eligible.


Successful applicants will be notified and awarded the scholarships at the CCA's annual general meeting on March 8, 2017.

Deadline to apply is February 17, 2017

17th Annual Partnering with Industry Symposium Re-Cap

On January 26th several industry partners gathered at the Telus Convention Centre for the 17th Annual Partnering with Industry Symposium. This event brought together a number of public partners and local industry, allowing for the opportunity to connect, collaborate and share information on future capital program budgets, upcoming projects, emerging trends and issues.

Mayor Naheed Nenshi spoke about the City of Calgary's focus around building lives and making lives better for Calgarians everyday. Jeff Fielding, City of Calgary Manager spoke about the importance of investing wisely and demonstrating value to Calgary's people. Following this, a number of informative panel presentations were given by City of Calgary delegates and Public Partners.
