AGC Lean Certification Exam

Wednesday, September 20th, 2017
7:30 AM - 12:00 PM MDT
Calgary Construction Centre

The AGC Certificate of Management-Lean Construction (CM-Lean) is an assessment-based certificate credential that denotes knowledge and understanding of concepts related to lean adoption, practice and process transformation outlined in AGC’s Lean Construction Education Program. Successful candidates will carry the CM-Lean designation.

Lean Journey at Mount Royal University
Using the CCDC 2 Stipulated Price contract, and the Phase Pull Planning (Last Planner System) and the Information Flow Structuring for Project Communication tool, Mount Royal University was able to create better alignment with all parties on what is best for their project; balancing cost, delivery and quality in a collaborative way with owner engagement. Using these tools, the team was more proactive on project constraints and risks and the impact to the schedule. 

"We need to bring these visuals collaborative planning tools in as early as possible in EVERY project, regardless of size."

Alberta Construction Association News

Citing that such a conversation was long overdue, owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers came together in Calgary June 15th for the first Optimizing the Flow of Payment workshop. The unique format, in which participating organizations were asked to bring representation from both project management and accounting, revealed the value of involvement of the financial personnel in successful project execution.
