      2017 Best of Design and Architecture 

      The Mayor's Urban Design winners were announced Wednesday night at Studio Bell.

      Projects included were Studio Bell & New Central Library.

      Cow Town or Elbow Town?
      Wichispa Oyade, translated to Elbow Town, is the requested name change by Stoney Nakoda.
       "The Stoney Nakoda people are the original occupants of the land and place names should be changed to their traditional Stoney Nakoda names in order to allow the culture and history of these lands to become more known and respected," reads the letter.

      The Canadian Construction Association’s (CCA) awards recognize the important contributions of individuals, organizations and projects that promote and enhance the Canadian construction industry, whether through innovation, projects, or dedication to the industry. Nominations are now open until November 17.

      The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) has published a new resource, Corporate Social Responsibility in the Construction Sector: A Practical Guide to CSR, for its members. Tailored for the construction industry, the guide explains the importance of CSR and offers practical advice on how to prepare or enhance a CSR strategy. The guide was created through a collaborative process and is available as a free download from CCA website’s Member Login section.
